The Hotel meet all our expectations, and Clare exceeded in her help with our many questions. The room was very comfortable and the Breakfast very good with a wide choice. The location of the hotel is well located.
Stayed here for 5 nights recently on business. The hotel is very conveniently located to the centre of town. On arrival I was greeted by a great host who spoke very good English and helped me out with Taxi's, directions and even restaurant reservations. Well stocked bar helps when you've been on the go all day. Very relaxed bar and restaurant atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. Not planned, but just happened to be in town when the Tour De France came through so the hotel was a real buzz. Courtyard in front of the hotel is very French and in keeping with the Alsace region. Lots of old farm machinery dotted around adding to the ambience. Breakfast is continental and simple. Ample parking in the underground car park as well as a few spaces above ground. All in all a great location, very friendly hotel staff and well worth a stay if you're in town.
Nice hotel with good location
This hotel was a nice surprise. Good and nice hotel - a bit looking like family-owned hotel but belongs to Ibis chain. Good location close to sigjtseeing places. Also excellent car parking opposite the hotel (10€:night). Receptionists spoke good english. Breakfast was simple but good. Price/quality is excellent.
Good location, some parking, rooms vary.
IBIS hotels are usually faceless modern concrete blocks but this was is built in an old malt house so the rooms are not all the same size or accessibility, & it is spread over two buildings. Our room was small so if we had been travelling with large bags it would have been a challenge. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed, the bed comfortable and the view interesting....an old, rather scruffy, medieval courtyard. There is no restaurant but there are coffee & tea making facilities in reception, a bar & you are very close to some great restaurants in the old part of Colmar. The staff are friendly & helpful. Parking is limited & in what appears to be an old cellar.... if you have a large car then good luck as it is very tight! Outside there is a small place to sit in the garden with a beer but beware if your rooms are above it as this is also the smoking area & you may not want to open your window! Breakfast was good, better than expected, but in a small area so expect it to be busy at peak times.
