Just as you come into the hotel there is a terrible smell thats present throughout.
Its overpriced and you don’t even get a bottle of water. Everything is very basic, shame that they did try a bit harder to make it a nice place.
the hotel with probably the worst service in Ibiza. We had booked a suite with a jacuzzi. Then on Monday morning at 8:30 the craftsmen started and the terrace in the next room was renovated. Very surprising since the hotel only opened in 2019 and already needs renovation? No consideration was given to the fact that we lived in the room next door. It was impossible to use the whirlpool because it was very noisy on the one hand, and on the other hand workers stuck silicone and climbed over onto our terrace. I have videos of it. At some point there was a knock on the door several times and after we called several times, I opened the door underpants. The caretaker then came to our room with a craftsman to check whether our toilet was working. We had already tried to relax in the spa at the weekend. that's why we booked this hotel. However, there was no staff at the reception of the spa and there were about 20 people in the spa itself, as the spa can also be used from outside. Everywhere towels on the floor, people who sat in the sauna without towels directly on the wood and very loud as in a public swimming pool. Why not limit the number of people present? Ah I forgot, then you would have to assign staff to do it. I can't even think about what it is like to "sleep" there in summer. The hotel is so noisy that you can hear the words from the next room through the air conditioning. Even when the cleaning women speak in the foyer in the interior, you can hear that in the room. If the party guests are there in the summer, it certainly won't get any better. There should have been information that the construction work in the hotel was not completed. We spend about 160 nights a year in hotels and the El Puerto Ibiza was by far the worst managed for us. Never again!!!
Great hotel in Ibiza town
This hotel is in a brilliant location of Ibiza town, very close to the port and lots of nice little cafes surrounding it. Our room was lovely, extremely spacious with a very large balcony. Probably the largest room we have stayed in in Ibiza (I think we had one of the deluxe suites on the sixth floor).
One feature which was frustrating for a four star hotel was the fact that in a double room, they just had two single beds pushed together which very easily drifted apart to create a gap in the middle.
The staff on reception were helpful and friendly and we were checked in and out very efficiently.
We only went to the spa in one occasion and it was good. Nice to go in and relax before you head out for the day.
Overall, a really good 4* hotel in Ibiza town with great location and I would absolutely stay here again or recommend to anybody.
Tip: if you are hiring a car, we really struggled to find somewhere to park as all the spaces near the hotel were completely taken. We found a very convenient car park a two minute walk from the hotel, but at €29 a day it was very pricy when we’d stayed for 3 days and it was nearly €100 just on parking.
Great location close to the port, only a couple of minutes walk to bars and restaurants, clean and comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast . Nice rooftop pool but of a sun trap. Recommend for a short stay
Recently renovated, new Spa area, large basement live music venue IbizaTeatro
9 out of 10 for spa sauna, steam & pool - also a pool on roof views. 10 out of 10 massages 'deep muscle' sorted my back problem out - best I've ever had from the lady called 'Smile'
99 out of 100 for the live music venue - the only reason it's not a 100 is you pay extra on your drinks when music starts (effectively pays for the band) - worth every penny/euro
A few teething problems as all-new rooms such as shower leek.
