- ホテル アストリア
Untere Gasse 22, サースフェー スイス
Small but very friendly ! Would recommend this resort in both summer for walkers and the winter for ski junkies ,Saas fee is car free only electric vehicles allowed on the roads so very Eco lots of good restaurants and bars
Super nice staff
We tried to book into this hotel for a festival weekend (entire town, super busy) and accidentally booked into a hotel with the same name 6 hours away. Sasha was SO nice. Once we realized that we weren't going to be able to stay in hotel, he let us use the phone and the wifi so we could find another hotel. He let us leave our bag in the hotel so we could try to find our friends, he even called another hotel to see if we could stay there. He really went above and beyond the call of duty. I hope we'll have a chance to stay there one day!
Terrible Service and awful food
Rooms are really nice and spacious and in a good location for the lifts. However the food was very poor and very small portions. The owner was extremely rude to most of my group and overcharged us (for meals that we didnt have). A few of my group were very ill after staying at the hotel.
Perfect base for a ski holiday
We stayed at the 3 star Hotel Astoria www.astoria-saasfee.ch in Saas Fee, Switzerland in February 2007. The hotel is well located being about 200m from the Alpin Express lift and close to the centre of things. It is a small establishment of some 30+ rooms and does not offer lunch or dinner. Breakfast however is excellent with a range of cereals, wonderful fresh breads, rolls & croissants, with a hot offering (for instance boiled eggs, scrambled egg & bacon) and some cold meats and cheese.
Frau Burgener and the staff are always helpful and polite and although, like most of Saas Fee, they cater primarily to German-speaking guests, their English was more than adequate for our needs.
The rooms we had were clean with traditionally-styled but modern limed-wood furniture and real wood laminate flooring or carpet. All rooms are en-suite with TV (some UK channels such as BBC Prime and Sky News), phone, radio/clock and safe, but no kettle, refrigerator or mini-bar. Although the mattresses were acceptable we felt the quality of the bedding (pillows, sheets & duvet) was poor.
Downstairs there is a seating area with a pool table and in the early evenings you can order drinks. It is not particularly cosy however so you will probably prefer to go elsewhere for drinks. As you will be eating out in the evenings in any case (make sure to book the previous day!) this is not a problem. There is also free wireless internet (provided you have brought your laptop.)
In the basement as well as the storerooms for skis and boots there is a wellness suite with sauna, steamroom, fancy shower, jacuzzi and exercise bike - all free of charge.
There is a simple and fast lift which actually saves time as well as effort.
All in all we heartily recommend Hotel Astoria. Everything worked, and it was a perfect base for a great skiing holiday in Saas Fee. And even in peak season Frau Burgener does not insist on Saturday-Saturday bookings.
Juste top! Adresse à retenir! On reviendra!
